This event is a perfect opportunity to socialize, network, and share enjoyable moments with fellow DORC members who share your passion for Land Rovers. WHYM also plays music bingo on Thursday nights to entertain any family members that aren’t as excited to discuss Land Rovers and such.

We are hosting our all Land Rover models August Trail Ride on Sunday the 20th. The terrain will be mostly green to blue difficulty (check out our resource page for trail type classifications). A fun day traveling through Epping, Epsom and ending in Barnstead, NH. Bring the family and the dog! We will be pre-running this trail in the next week and will announce a staging location as soon as that’s done. Please RSVP to either our DORC-NH FaceBook page (event posting) or EMAIL us .

What to Expect:

• Fun, dirt, mud and bumps

• Convoy style travel (Trail Leader and Tail Gunner with all participants in radio contact)

• Learning your vehicle’s capabilities as well as how to navigate slight obstacles and choose the best travel lines

Suggested Gear:

• weather appropriate footwear and clothing (always wear closed toe shoes)

• GMRS radio (we have extras in case, check out our resource page on how to obtain one with FCC licensing)

• Basic Recover Gear Kit (recovery straps, soft or hard shackles, gloves and know where your recover points are on your vehicle)

• Water and snacks

• Bug Spray, Sun Block and any medications you may personally need

A mild green with blue sections of trail, capable for stock Land Rovers. GMRS/FRS radio required. Come out for the 1st trail ride of the season and have some fun. The only major requirements are as stated above GMRS/FRS radio in each vehicle and you must drive a Land Rover (all models welcome). Join fellow members at the Sunday Cars & Coffee, happening at our club sponsor and partner Land Rover Bedford. This event always draws amazing vintage and modern Land Rovers, as well as many other great automobiles. Join us for a wonderful social get together, see some old friends and meet some new ones!

DORC-NH members can partake in a day of off road instruction with the amazing expert staff at the Land Rover VT Experience Center. A 3/4 day of instruction in off road driving, techniques of recovery, trail communication/hand signals for spotting and ways to evaluate the trail/obstacles and choose the best line. Lunch will be provided on the trail. Discounted hotel rates will be secured in Manchester, VT for those that wish to enjoy a full weekend in Vermont. We are excited to announce our 2nd Trail Ride with Rich Banfield and Banfield Off-Road Adventures. This will be our last gasp at a winter ride with Rich and his crew guiding. Our first run with Banfield Off-Road Adventures in January was a great time with 9 fellow DORCs (new defenders, classic defenders and even an LR4). Bring your LR and let’s run some trails, have some adventures and share some laughs and memories!

Throughout the year, we're proud to feature exclusive Owner's Day events at Land Rover Experience Vermont. Unique from typical Experience Center experiences, these events encourage owners to bring and drive their own vehicle, and spend the day with other Land Rover owners.

We are having a winter trail ride this coming Saturday the 28th of January with Rich Bafield, expert guide and head of Banfield Offroad. This will be staging in Royalston, MA at 9am (finishing in Richmond, NH). We will hit the trails by 9:30am. FRS radio channel 8 and GRMS Channel 16 if you have a licensed GMRS radio. Expect trail levels: Green, Yellow and some Blues. For those of you joining us for the Winter Romp (February in ME), this will be a great warm up for any newly installed mods or to re-familiarize yourself with wheeling in snow and ice. Please bring recovery gear, warm clothing, extra water and 1st aid kit if you have them. If you have chains throw them in as well, you never know! There is a $10 per rig fee for this one.

The City of Portsmouth, NH hosts its annual tree lighting ceremony followed by the annual Illuminated Holiday Parade. This is a fun, family focused event to ring in the Holiday Season. DORC-NH will be participating this year for the first time! We will be bringing our vehicles down (new and old) and the goal is to decorate them outlandishly in Holiday pageantry full of bright colorful lights. Details for staging and signup will be provided prior to the event to make sure it’s a fun and successful time. We ask that each vehicle’s participants bring defender toys (Matchbox Cars) or candy to hand out along the parade route.

Come ride with DORC-NH as we get ready to close out the NH Class VI road season. This will be a mostly green trail ride, stock Defenders are welcomed and encouraged. A fun wooded run with some rocks and some mud bogs, nothing too difficult. Anyone interested we can all grab lunch together afterwards. Non-members encouraged to come check us out! We ask for a $25 donation to DORC-NH which will go to Wildlife Heritage Foundation of New Hampshire which benefits the NHF&G. Please RSVP to dorcnh@gmail.com .
